mike's a rep for godin gtrs now. my fave nervebreakers performance was at tootsie's out on white settlement here in the fort, with the fort worth cats opening. it was in the middle of an industrial area, and the bands usedta play till like 4am, but this one particular time, there was a noise complaint and the fuzz arrived on the scene just as the nb's were playing "the kids are alright" by the 'oo. one by one, the other nervebreakers stopped playing, but not mike -- he kept at it until a coupla foat wuth's finest forcibly removed his les paul jr. from his hands. now _that's_ rock 'n' roll.

Mike Haskins is one of my fave guitarists ever. Please keep me posted.
Did you ever go to Tootsie's in the winter? We had to play on the indoor stage and there was a really annoying tree right in the midle of it. It's amazing that my bass made it through any of those gigs.

Tootsies was a strange time. Half the crowd was damn near asleep by the end of a show, but they did serve breakfast.

yeah, there were definite downsides to having music all night long. worst example i can remember was a delbert mcclinton show at panther hall. there were like nine bands on the bill. at 1:30, my buddy charles (the man who brought me here to open a rekkid store) and i left to get coffee. at 4, we finally said "to hell with it" and went home. never did get to see delbert play.
